Workshops

Sauced

Ed Ostlund, our resident chef, leads the group in creating 3 delicious sauces that can be used in a variety of recipes. Participants will make pomodoro, barre blanc, and an integral (pan) sauce and go home with samples for their own enjoyment.

Essential Oils, Self Care & Scripture

God gives us a body that we are to consider a holy temple. We are to care for our body including our skin, hair, nails and more.   Virginia Karimi leads this session as participants will look at the Biblical references to essential oils used in personal care regimes like the one prescribed for Esther.  We will make a sugar scrub, lip scrub or other personal scent for use at home.

Sound Therapy Workshop

Jennifer Becwar considers work with sound a dance with the sacred, allowing our prayers, intentions or inner songs to connect to our higher power. Her workshop will be a reclining or resting meditation with gongs, bronze and crystal bowls, chimes, bells and more. To get the most out of these sessions, she invites you to come to the workshop with a curious mind and intention.

Finding Your Inner Quiet

Rev. Jacob Cloud is a Spiritual Director as well as our pastor. In this workshop, you will be invited to explore meditation, beginning with developing a quiet mind.  For Jacob, life can be quite chaotic, with kids, work, and family tasks running through his mind day after day. He uses meditation to find moments of rest, prayer, and quiet to renew his mind and soul.

Yoga

Sheila Palmquist, the founder and director of Lincoln Yoga Center, leads the group in a relaxing session of yoga. Participants will be able to choose between floor yoga, or using a chair. For more information about Sheila and Lincoln Yoga center, click here.

Rustic Picture Display Project

Susan Asher runs two businesses- A Sign and Hometown Living. For this workshop participants will be creating their own take on a rustic home decor picture display. Susan says “Life is full of blessings, be sure your home reflects all you’re thankful for.”

Chair Massage

Teresa Struble operates t.c.dharma in Lincoln.  This workshop offers healing moments of relaxation for the body. Participants will experience a 10 minute massage that will leave you relaxed and rested.

The Playfulness of God

Reneé Bhatia is a Spiritual Director, musician, and artist in the depths of her soul. In this workshop, participants will explore play as a divine attribute and a gift in our lives. Play is not just for children.

Sweet Blessings

Participants who love cookies will love this workshop. They will find peace and come home with a prepped cookie dough ready for baking!
